I was looking at gift suggestions to give comfort to my loved ones during this unusual Christmas season. Some suggestions were; a weighted blanket, a wineglass wall attachment for the bathtub, a lighted alarm clock, oil diffuser, baking mixes, etc. What caught my particular attention was a decal for the bath mirror saying, YOU GOT THIS. I liked it immediately and thought I would love to wake up to an encouraging word. Then I realized how inaccurate that saying is in my life. It is not practical to take what belongs to God and take it on myself. I do not “Got this”. That is why I pray, study God’s word, seek out other seekers, and try to exercise my “faith” muscles daily. I need a decal that says, “GOD’S GOT THIS.” God’s got this because, I believe, He holds me in the palm of His hand. He loves me and can take much better care of me than me.
