ello new year. I am happy about new. Some people may be thinking hell no – a new year. How do we plan for things that may happen that we cannot control? We don’t. We make a list, mental or written, with some things that we can control. Don’t resolute things that are in the hands of others but pray to the God who holds us together. Next year is uncharted but God, who is over time, sees it already. When Jesus awoke from slumber to find His friends fearful of a storm, it made sense to be afraid. We are human and that is human nature. What they did not understand is that just being with Jesus was all that they needed. They thought they needed more like a happy new year so Happy New Year and happy new things with possibility. The unknown is still ahead.
