Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. As I look back on last year and look forward to the next, I just feel grateful. Prov 3:3-4 tells us what to expect if we do the following, “Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man”. That sounds like a road to success and I have high hopes for next year. Now on to the New Testament, Heb 10:16, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them, then He adds, Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more”. I know this all means a closer walk with the author of truth. It means that I will spend more time listening to God and reading my Bible.
I would like to write some resolutions for people who have messed with me. You know what I’m talking about. I can’t do that. I can only walk in humility and practice forgiveness. It was hard last year and will be hard, again, this year but I’m not a quitter. I read this for the next year – “Find something to let go of, something to awaken, and something to hope for”. Finally, in the end of whatever year Jesus comes or we go home, Rev 13:8-9 states that, “All who dwell on the earth will worship Him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If anyone has an ear, let him hear”. This is a warning so why not start out the next year with this heart of worship?
