No. The Bible has not been rewritten. I was googling something a few weeks ago and came across a barrage of articles about just how many rewrites, how many revisions, and how many controversies. Most of this is intended to undermine the value of God’s Word and dilute the opinions and ‘thoughts toward you’ that are communicated in the Bible. It has never been rewritten but there are revisions and updates as original documents have been uncovered. The Bible is the Word of God, and therefore it is trustworthy, authoritative, and perfect. God reveals who He is and who Jesus is. If God can create an amazing specimen called you, He can certainly take care of His Book. We can rely on God and we can rely on His Book. After many evaluations by linguistic experts, there is still word-for-word accuracy after more almost 2000 years. The Vatican Library contains one of the oldest copies handwritten in Greek on animal skin parchment. I think most arguments against that truth have to do with devaluing the importance of sharing God’s story and saving us.
