Nope – nada. Again, not a theologian. I spend time with children. I’ve seen newborns. We all sin and have a propensity to make ungodly choices. For some reason the phrase, Original Sin, makes me picture a tiny person who already has tiny horns. I have seen a two-ish person push down a one-ish person. That child is learning from seeing. Call it bullying but the environment does have an impact. Let us protect our littles. Demonstrate God’s love and don’t shove other humans around. Our sin gets more sophisticated as we advance but, as believers in salvation, we are still set apart for good works and there is a reprieve from missing the mark – sin. These children did not begin life dirty. I just don’t believe it and God will let me know how my misunderstandings have affected my life and perceptions of others.
These precious littles start out with cooing and smiling and mean no harm. Protect them.
