“Happy are the people who walk with integrity, who live according to the teachings of the Eternal.” – Psalm 119:1 The Voice.
Something needs to happen once we believe. We are walking in integrity and living a different way. To know what to tweak we read the Bible – the teachings of the Eternal. There are new things to learn and do. We are not stagnate, like…well that was a nice experience… then remaining unchanged. It is simple and concise – live a different way. It reminds me of a very old film, Young Frankenstein. He says, “Walk this way” (meaning follow me) and instead, they are all hobbling because he was hobbling. In our case, we can walk this way but the teachings direct how we walk and where we walk and probably when.
The word ‘happy’ shows up more than once in the Bible. Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”. Psalm 16:11, “And your greatest happiness will be found only in God”. James 1:2-3, “God commands us to count it as joy when we face trials in our life”. Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you will all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may abound in hope”. John 15:11, “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full”. Also, I Peter 1:8-9, Galatians 5:22-23, Proverbs 17:22, Proverbs 15:23. There are a lot of happy people and I hope there will be more…
