I love how the new completes the old. Psalm 15 describes ‘Such People’ by their actions. The ‘Such People’, who are allowed to enter God’s presence, do things like this; lead blameless lives, do what is right, speak truth from sincere hearts, refuse to gossip, despise sinners and honor the faithful. They even keep their promises when it hurts, lend money without interest and cannot be bribed. So who can claim such infallibility? Not me. Let’s turn a few pages to Romans 5:6-11 for perspective and hope. “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly…But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us…For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life”. We are now ‘Such People” because God made it so. He always had a plan and today He still has a plan for you and me. We are reconciled and yet still press into the actions above.
