Proverbs 4:19
The way of the wicked is like darkness;
They do not know over what they stumble.
Another wicked day with Israel declaring war after Hamas launched thousands of rockets. What choice did they have? A previous leader stated that, “You cannot make peace with those who come to kill you”. There is no conversation with a bomb. I am not making a political statement here but anyone who is alive and alert knows that God created a perfect world and men make many bad choices – the first of which is to deny God’s existence. Thomas Sowell wrote, “Without a moral framework, there is nothing left but immediate self-indulgence by some and the path of least resistance by others. Neither can sustain a free society.” So here we are today…maybe Iran is supplying funds for bombs and, maybe, that money came from a US bank for a prisoner exchange, or maybe some other story but the thing that the wicked are stumbling over is the bodies of the innocent. How do you expect to fair with a Holy God and a people He has loved since Abraham? And the timing with a Speaker of the House ousted? How wicked are these ways. I also have to comment on the 96 photos published today by the Seattle Times. They are photos of Hamas children among dead bodies and debris. The photos of Israel were only of soldiers looking for Hamas. This is messed up. So where are you finding peace today? Is your life feeling as messy as this?
Psalm 5:8
Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow.
