I think I must have killed one hundred bugs on my drive over the pass. It’s crazy that everyone is traveling 75 miles/hour when the posted speed is 55 for trucks and 65 for autos. I’m willing to drive 70 but that is my limit unless the posted limit is 70. I started the journey in lovely trees, saw more, then a plateau, then mountains melted into high desert, flat and dry, then a partial reverse. After all of the fun with family I returned the same way but with a boot on my injured foot from soccer. There are so many interesting people to notice when you are in an unfamiliar place. On the trip home I passed a few cars but many passed me. One was the prettiest baby blue Bronco I had ever seen. The car traveled quickly, making it impossible to determine if it was a spirited lady or a metro-man driving. Isn’t it odd how many times we make assumptions and draw conclusions/judge others. First impressions land. That’s what makes travel fun – new views and possibilities. Where should I live? What is the best plan for this season? Travel seems to be the current status and I hope with good purpose – God first, family second, friends, then me. See you on the road.
