We Are Most Welcome

Posted on April 28, 2024April 28, 2024 by Pam

Guilt would hold us all back but we have been made a most welcome people into the presence of our holy God. To rehearse the transaction, God has always been, then the creation, the fall, the Children of Abraham, Jesus Christ, the Spirit and Church, our time, then Jesus returns and the new creation. We…

Blood On The Post

Posted on April 28, 2024April 28, 2024 by Pam

With every film rendition of what the original Passover scene looked like, I look away. It is usually a dark misty thing and then you hear the crying and then, recently, I saw a film that had ghosts walking around Egypt. If it’s not in the Bible don’t put it in your film! That one…

Does 2 x 2 Include You?

Posted on April 26, 2024April 26, 2024 by Pam

As Jesus sent out His disciples, 2 X 2, not everyone was sent. We know there were more than 12 disciples based on the crowds described in the four gospel books. On that day Jesus selected 12 and equipped 12. Luke 9:1-2 reads, “And He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority…

About Freedom?

Posted on April 22, 2024April 22, 2024 by Pam

This may sound like a political post but it has to do with freedom, including religious freedom. That is a commodity that is scarce in too many places. North Korea is the worst expression of the removal of religious freedom. I think the US is becoming a challenge by conforming to the world more than…

Baby Baby Baby

Posted on April 20, 2024April 20, 2024 by Pam

We are all born without sin until we sin. Yes – our freedom of choice predisposes us to make God-opposing choices. I’ve never looked at a precious baby to not think he/she perfect – for now. So what is this sin-curse. Do we have choices? Did the devil make me do it? Genesis Chapter three…

The Threat

Posted on April 20, 2024April 20, 2024 by Pam

It arrived on January one. Some one wanted me dead and went into a detailed description on how to accomplish it. I knew the perp because he text the threat. I called the police. I filed papers and faced a trial date to resume the no-contact order. Happy New Year to me! I’m mentioning this…

Arrive Early?

Posted on April 20, 2024 by Pam

This afternoon I was thinking about my Mama. She was very sweet and taught me about Jesus. She was very creative and after a shower I put on a robe she had made. I have more memorabilia than most. When I was with my Dad as he passed into eternity (43 days after my Mom)…

Recompense

Posted on April 20, 2024April 20, 2024 by Pam

Recompense is not a word we frequently use. The concept is everywhere in the Bible with these synonyms: amends, compensation, indemnification, indemnity, quittance, redress, reprisal, and restitution. Luke 14:14 is giving a lesson for hosts with, “and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be…

Mad Skills

Posted on April 20, 2024April 20, 2024 by Pam

There was more going on in the womb than knitting us together. What we look like is the seen. The unseen outlasts all of that. As God prepared good works for each of us, He downloaded the skills we would need should we choose to follow Him and help build His church. I call them…

All of the Parts

Posted on April 10, 2024April 10, 2024 by Pam

Depressed people are more likely to develop heart disease. The scriptures mention the heart. Mark 12:30: “And you shall love the Lord your God from your whole heart.” Matt 12:34-35: “A good man out of the treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart…

"Thoughts from a genuinely evaluative mind."

Pam writes so that must make her a writer. Recently retired, she can now fill days with family, friends, missions, writing, creating, and showing up for whomever needs her. Pam loves the Lord and people. The Bible is God’s love letter to us (and who does not need more love) so she studies and writes some more.

Pam lives in the Pacific Northwest but was home-grown in Southern California. She attended San Jose Bible College and finished a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at UCLA. She became a teacher, then a Research and Development Chemist, then she built two successful real estate businesses in two states. Pam also pursued study at Fuller Theological Seminary and just completed six months serving in missions abroad.

Pam has two amazing children, married to two precious in-laws, and five sweet grandchildren. Pam is a gifted connector and communicator and the Northwest has the perfect climate for staying inside and writing – or baking! She has been writing since a wee one and is currently converting many years of blogging, by topic, into ten books. The first is a collection from 2011 titled, Beautiful Enough. The second is a yearly day-timer titled, Weekly Planner - Lessons in Life, Glory, and Grace. Number three is in progress with the working title, Christmas Today.

Ten facts about Pam in no particular order:

  1. On the team that developed an insulation for the Alaskan oil pipeline.
  2. Loves looking at homes, decorating, and has flipped five homes.
  3. Likes being tall.
  4. Films have helped define her vocabulary.
  5. Comes from Colorado tenement farmers with history traced to Wales.
  6. Was lost but now is found.
  7. Baking makes her happy – as does eating sweets with coffee, of course.
  8. She thinks mission work is the most important work in the world.
  9. The church started in Rome so she is learning Italian.
  10. Pam is a work in progress!

“I will be your God throughout your lifetime - until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.” Isaiah 46:4
