I flew somewhere and was under the clouds, as usual, then, suddenly, over the clouds. I thought of Jesus. The clouds below me looked like a fast-moving, giant storm. I took too many photos because it is a different view than our normal. I also wish they would stop putting me in a row where the wings obstruct the beauty. I taught a physical science class many years ago but still am amazed that a metal tube can soar to 35,000 feet. I will attach some photos but have a couple of observations. 1) The plane passed through the clouds. They are vapor and not solid. 2) Pilots fly using instruments to help them see when they can’t – altitude indicator, navigation display, and terrain maps. 3) Clouds are dangerous with strong updrafts and downdrafts causing turbulence. 4) Air-traffic controllers are also watching clouds. My thoughts are that we sometimes fly blind. Today my mind is spinning over some terrible news. I don’t know what will happen next. The ‘instruments’ I used today were; confiding in some praying friends, hoping in Jesus, prayer, trust, frustration, and I ate a lot of ice cream. My excuse is the heat wave. Life is dangerous with turbulence. God is in control. He will take care of this. Lastly, I remember that life is like a vapor and that these present troubles are no surprise to God.
