Seattle is a wealthy city. I don’t know how I got here…not really…hard work to provide for my children and God’s blessing on a business I enjoyed. It was a miracle. Seattle ranks as the 7th wealthiest city in the US and 18th globally in terms of millionaires, with its millionaire population growing by 48% from 2014-2024. It is a tech-driven economy (thank you Bill Gates). Medium household income was about $121,984 in 2023. Cost of living is a challenge for most of us. The bright side is that this educated, successful lot is number two among big US cities where kids are living with two parents. Family is and has always been a success model. It has always been God’s design. The science is clear. One man and one woman is the design for children. Those who create family – in the original Genesis way – are more likely to form a cherished unit that is happy. Happy people stay together and provide a foundation for happy children. It’s always worked and this is just another measure of proof that God’s ways are the highway. This is not a perfect model because we still fail. God knows we fail and pats us on the head with a smile and encourages us to ask forgiveness and try again. A family.
