My microwave was groaning. I used it anyway. Then it was moaning and I used it anyway. Then I would leave the room for ‘just in case’. I would forget it wasn’t working. I finally googled microwave groaning. Every search would list seven things that can be wrong with your microwave. No one mentioned moaning or groaning so I got to work. I measured it and photographed it for a visit to an appliance store. However, before I left, I emptied the microwave and disassembled the rotating plate, washed everything thoroughly, and removed and cleaned the little wheels. I was reminded of her microwave. Years ago I attended a friends/family event and was helping in the kitchen. This was a fancy, sometimes snobby, lady and I offered to help. I needed the microwave and opened the door in quiet disgust. It was so awful but I proceeded with care. Back to the present. My microwave stopped moaning/groaning. Who knew I could make ANYTHING work! I was reminded that simple maintenance pays dividends and that looks can be deceiving!
