I have liked cannoli for a decade but I have loved God longer. I once purchased cannoli forms and know the ingredients but the outcome was disappointing. In Roma you might expect the cannoli to be the best but after one try I am over it. That is the amazing difference with God. The more I know the better.
God is love, holy, righteous, just, wise, faithful, truth, good merciful (grace is receiving better than we deserve), and patient, giving us may chances. From this thumbnail sketch I know that He has been faithful to me my entire life. This is incomprehensible but true. He is fierce but good.
There are many verses for further study I will list here: 2 Tim 2:13, Ps 86:15, 2 Thes 3:3, Deut 32:4, Ps 31:5, John 14:6, Ps 33:5, 34:8, 100:5, 84:1, 86:1, 107:1, 135:3, 145:9, Heb 4:16, Eph 2:4-5, 2 Pet 3:9, and 1 Cor 13:4. These are in order of the list above.
Because the Trinity share nature then the character of Christ is our goal, Gal 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law”.
To understand the Father heart of God it needs to be specific to me. God loves me and loves you. Jesus is the revelation of the Father’s love and came to show us God. I know this and cannot believe if you do not believe. Jesus came from the heart of God to return us to the heart of God: Heb 1:1-3, Gal 1:15, 2 Cor 4:4, and John 1:18.
