Two things. As I raced across Bellevue yesterday it was pouring down a river of rain and I was also in morning downtown traffic. Two things affected my morning commute. I was late for appointment one, on time for appointment two, then early for appointment three. The weather is never under our control but leaving early is always a good idea. Just have a book with you. There are obstacles in life. Sometimes it is just weather or just traffic or just an accident or something worse. If we could select the obstacles we think are manageable life might be more manageable. “Pick your obstacles” may not be an attractive book title! Is it a death or a diagnosis, a divorce, a challenging partner (without the divorce), a failure of your own? All I have today is, when possible, leave early and bring a book.
