Thank you for following me as I try to follow Jesus. I last wrote about downsizing in preparation for this new season of serving. That is an action of thoughtful dispersing. I have a note-to-self which reads, “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful”. I’m hoping to get better at that. What is being added is quality time. When you look at the calendar and count down the days before you leave town, you visit your children and grandchildren. I just returned from an exhilarating week in Idaho and soon will leave for Frisco, Texas. I know many people who have served and sacrificed by leaving family behind. We don’t get the background on Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and the others. Did they have children and later grandchildren? Jesus died and we have opportunities to give up a little.
