Keep the Fires Burning

Posted on September 9, 2023September 9, 2023 by Pam

“Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed upon you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery”, I Tim 4:14. Are you hot? What fuels your faith? That creepy verse in Revelation has always bothered me. When I say things like that it is just because I lack understanding. “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold not hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are Luke-warm – neither hot not cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Rev 3:15-18. Are you feeling any pressure? We accepted Jesus and walked through the door to His Kingdom. We are now in the world but not of this world any longer. It is a crooked world and I appreciate the humor that the “Chosen” tv film has added to see the everyday of being with Jesus. There are ‘easy-does-it’ days and then the other kind. Without the infusion of the Holy Spirit it is not possible to feel the heat and passion of God. I picture a dragon breathing fire into every need. The needs are what we need today but also what God wants from us to grow His Kingdom. Protect your heart. Be with people on the same path. As fires tend to go out, look for fuel. Pray, study, fellowship, hold accountable, be held accountable, and go. Just don’t cool off.
