Two Black Crows

Posted on September 23, 2022September 23, 2022 by Pam

Ps 138:3 “On the day I needed You, I called, and you responded and infused my soul with strength.” (the Voice) I try to keep my eyes on the road but was on the backroad in Woodinville along the railroad tracks. People walk their dogs and other dogs along that stretch on road (nearby pet…

Another Shout Out

Posted on September 21, 2022September 21, 2022 by Pam

Shout out to Canyon Hills Missions Go Team. What a fun send off for me and two other missions people heading to a different part of the world. I enjoyed the lunch and prayer time. I have spent five years under the leadership of Pastors Corey & Aaron. People rub off on each other. Think…

I’m excited to be welcomed so warmly by the training staff and to look forward to meeting students from Korea, Australia, others from USA, plus several other countries. Our final destination will be Amsterdam and I’ll keep…

Mosquitos and Freezing Temperatures

Posted on September 11, 2022September 11, 2022 by Pam

I thought they were fleabites but then my allergy to mosquitos took over. Have you ever begged God to help you? I have had a couple of prayers going up and am so grateful. Firstly, my VISA was approved on Friday and you can be sure my passport was on the way, same day. The…

What to Expect

Posted on September 7, 2022September 7, 2022 by Pam

Years ago I was having a casual conversation about demons after church (ha ha – no one has casual conversations about evil). I had no opinion but then a friend said, “Jesus believed in demons” and that settled it for me. I understand there are powers working against God and so I expect a bit…

A Shout Out

Posted on September 5, 2022 by Pam

Is a shout-out the same as boasting? I think not. Boasting is about me. A shout-out is about others. So many shout-outs – my heart is full. Because I will be away, I’ve spent time in Idaho and Texas with my children and grandchildren. I will be back soon but these memories are precious: hikes,…

Boast Not

James 4:14-16 “…yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will LIVE (yes, God is in charge of that too) and do this or that’. As…

The First Mission Field

Posted on August 25, 2022September 7, 2022 by Pam

Thank you for following me as I work at following Jesus. I make a habit of reading the daily devotions in Our Daily Bread. On Monday, I read Deuteronomy 4:9-14 and I hope this all sounds familiar. Quoting the devotion, “One of the most wonderful ways parents and grandparents can influence their children is by…

Today’s Prayer

Posted on August 23, 2022August 23, 2022 by Pam

PRAISING OUR GOD: So much to be grateful for. Open doors and provision for this missions trip and training. It is looking good and then I learn that my visa application was misplaced but is now found! Thank the Lord. Please pray that the timeline will be met and I will have visa in hand…

"Thoughts from a genuinely evaluative mind."

Pam writes so that must make her a writer. Recently retired, she can now fill days with family, friends, missions, writing, creating, and showing up for whomever needs her. Pam loves the Lord and people. The Bible is God’s love letter to us (and who does not need more love) so she studies and writes some more.

Pam lives in the Pacific Northwest but was home-grown in Southern California. She attended San Jose Bible College and finished a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at UCLA. She became a teacher, then a Research and Development Chemist, then she built two successful real estate businesses in two states. Pam also pursued study at Fuller Theological Seminary and just completed six months serving in missions abroad.

Pam has two amazing children, married to two precious in-laws, and five sweet grandchildren. Pam is a gifted connector and communicator and the Northwest has the perfect climate for staying inside and writing – or baking! She has been writing since a wee one and is currently converting many years of blogging, by topic, into ten books. The first is a collection from 2011 titled, Beautiful Enough. The second is a yearly day-timer titled, Weekly Planner - Lessons in Life, Glory, and Grace. Number three is in progress with the working title, Christmas Today.

Ten facts about Pam in no particular order:

  1. On the team that developed an insulation for the Alaskan oil pipeline.
  2. Loves looking at homes, decorating, and has flipped five homes.
  3. Likes being tall.
  4. Films have helped define her vocabulary.
  5. Comes from Colorado tenement farmers with history traced to Wales.
  6. Was lost but now is found.
  7. Baking makes her happy – as does eating sweets with coffee, of course.
  8. She thinks mission work is the most important work in the world.
  9. The church started in Rome so she is learning Italian.
  10. Pam is a work in progress!

“I will be your God throughout your lifetime - until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.” Isaiah 46:4
